What this site is
Finding mold is stressful, and the next step is not obvious. Who do you call? Do you need a test? What should it cost? Is the landlord responsible? Santa Rosa Mold Pros exists to make that first step easier for people in Santa Rosa, CA and the towns around it.
You send one request, by form or phone. It goes to independent mold inspection and remediation companies that work in your part of Sonoma County, and they contact you directly to look at the problem and quote it. Asking is free and you are never obligated to hire anyone.
Alongside that, the site explains the things people in this area actually run into: hidden winter leaks, crawl spaces, Russian River floods, homes rebuilt after the 2017 and 2020 fires, renter and landlord rules, and what California law does and does not say about mold.
What this site is not
- Not a contractor. Santa Rosa Mold Pros does not inspect, test, remove or rebuild anything, and holds no contractor license.
- Not a judge of companies. The site does not check licenses, insurance or work quality. You should check each company's CSLB license on the CSLB license lookup and read the written contract before you sign.
- Not a source of legal, medical or insurance advice. The guides here are general information drawn from public sources like the EPA, the California Department of Insurance, CSLB and state codes. For your situation, talk to a California attorney, your doctor or your insurer.
How companies take part
The companies that receive requests are independent businesses. They set their own prices, do their own work and contract with you directly. Participating companies may pay Santa Rosa Mold Pros to receive requests, generally on a flat per-request basis. That is how the service stays free for you. Payment does not affect what the guides on this site say.
The prices on this site are published third-party ranges, labeled with their sources and dates. They are not quotes and not anyone's price list.
